I have had one season so far, it was very exciting. I cant wait until season opens!!

It started when I was at my aunt and uncles house. They told me that a friend of theirs had so fox around a storage shed. So I set off with a box trap to get fox. There was a mother and 4 kits. 2 of the pups had been hit on the road so there was only 2 left. So I set off with a box trap to get the pups. I set the box trap next to the hole. I used a hot dog as bait.  I checked the bob trap every morning for about 9 days, and started to give up, so I decided to go after the ground hog. I went down there and I found a dead rabbit that was half eaten, and I also found a lot of fox tracks. So I knew the fox had moved down there. I found 2 worn trails from them. so I set 2 #11's there. Checked every morning, then about 6 days later, I was walking down there to check the trap, and I saw a beautiful fox take off, about 10 feet from me. I was so excited that I had actually seen one! This gave me hope that there were actually there. Then about 4 days later, I caught one of the babies. It was really small, only about 6 months, not much bigger than a tom cat. So I dispatched it. Then again every morning for about 6 days I was up early checking the trap and still nothing. Then the next day I caught the mama fox. She was really pretty and mean. I was so happy that I had actually caught something. I think I could have caught a frog and still would have been happy lol. Then after I caught the mama I decided to pull the traps. I was so amazed that the first animals I had caught were fox. I had heard so much from the old timers how it was almost impossible to catch fox and yotes without cleaning traps, wearing gloves, using lure, bait, or even making a set. Also heard that its impossible to hold a grown fox with only a #1l.s. I didn't wear gloves, or anything. I just staked the trap down, and then walked away, I didn't think you could catch a fox with a trap just setting on the ground. I didn't have it covered or anything. Maybe those fox were blind, lol.
