Why Trapping Is Necessary
The Proof The Anti-Trappers Don't Want You To See
Is trapping necessary today in the year 2000 ? Well, to many folks trapping with steel traps seems barbaric. But, the truth is stranger then fiction. You will see for your own eyes actual trap line photos of a coyote caught in a trap. Look closely, you see the animal is healthy and appears not to be in any stress what-so-ever from the trap. How can this be, you ask ? The truth is trappers have been trying to show these actual trap line photo’s for years. Trapping is not an easy just go do it and animals by the hundreds will be caught. You need proper training and good equipment under your belt.
I have help to start out several hundred new trappers on the right foot with my Videos and my book, "Buckshot’s Modern Trapper’s Guide". Many new trappers have e-mailed me with their success stories and I enjoy hearing from all of you. It is surprising to hear what these folks have to say when they hear about what the anti-trappers are saying. When you actually run traps you quickly see through all the stereo-type placed on being a trapper and realize that the animals are not suffering. When this happens folks write me and ask how can they (the animal rights folks) get a way with these kind of half truths and highly suspect photo’s ? I tell them for years the anti’s have used faked and doctored photo’s of animals in traps. They have actually lied on several occasions. One incident that really sticks in my mind was a picture of a dog still alive missing both front feet. The caption read, "See what a cruel steel trap did to this dog." Upon investigation it was later found out that the dog in question had a mishap with a lawn mower. The lawn mower was responsible for both front legs missing, not the trap.
You see, the folks who are in charge of these large multi-million dollar organizations don’t want you to know the truth. If you did know the truth, then you would stop mailing money in and they would have to get a real job. These people, some are making 6 figures a year for telling lies and half-truths depend on the public to send in donation money. If 60 Minutes would run these pictures I am about to show you, the donation for these folks would dry right up.

As you can clearly see, the coyote is not stressed at all and is merely being restrained with the trap. Where is the big old mean nasty trap with teeth in them, you may ask ? Again the truth is coming out, traps with teeth have been banned in almost every state. The trappers are switching in large numbers to offset smooth jaw traps for the animals comfort.
Now the ugly side of the issue. When you hear the rabid animal rights folks say, "Just let nature take care of itself", do you ever wonder how nature takes care of the overpopulation of animals ? The picture below is a picture of a coyote that has mange. This disease can take up to 90 days to kill the coyote. A very slow death caused by the mange parasite .

Did you take a close look ? Did you notice the open wounds on the back side of the animal ? This is caused from the animal being driven to self mutilation to stop the itching caused by the mange. The sad part of this disease is the coyotes and fox are just like dogs and they come up and smell each other. If one of the animals has mange the parasite will transfer to the new host and the gruesome process starts all over again on the new animal. How gruesome and cruel is this disease ?
Imagine the coyote, fox or wolf living in the open woods with a thick fur coat to keep warm during the winter. In early fall a fellow coyote, fox, or wolf comes by and both of them smell each other. The other leaves. A itching starts in the tail area. The tiny mange parasite has been passed on. Each day their numbers grow slowly eating the skin just below the fur line. Soon small patches of fur fall out. The parasite numbers are increasing by the thousands each day, living off the skin. Yes, because of the lack of harvesting the coyotes and foxes the disease has spread to the endangered gray wolf population in Minnesota.
The animal then visits another of it species and the parasite is again passed on dooming both of the animals. Weeks later the parasite on the first animal has been multiplied by the millions each day.
The animal is becoming weak, the itching is so intense it bites and chews on it body to stop the itching. The open wounds soon become infected. No longer able to stay warm and becoming weak from infection and lack of fur the animal has to rely on savaging to survive. Now months later the full harshness of winter sets in and the animal finally dies of mal-nourishment, infection and unable to maintain it's body temperature.
Yes, because of a lack of trapping Mother Nature steps in to correct the overpopulation because man is no longer harvesting the surplus animals for fur. Mother Nature's cure is a gruesome, slow and a horrifying way for any animal to die. Everyone who sends money or supports the animal rights agenda is responsible for this.
I would like to end with a final thought for everyone. Out in California there is a case I documented in my book about over population of raccoons carrying a disease passed on to young children. The disease had killed 4 young children. One child had lost his motor skills and was under 24 hour intensive care. When the city hired a trapper to capture the disease carrying rodents there was a candle vigil for the raccoons. Did you get that ? For the raccoons that had killed 4 children. At one of the town meetings it was allegedly stated by one of the animal rights persons that those children are the sacrifices we have to make for the animals. Ok, all you fathers, mothers, grandfathers and grandmothers please tell me which of your children or grandchildren you are willing to sacrifice for the animals ?
America, you had better wake up to the truth about the animal rights agenda before one of your children or grandchildren are sacrificed for the good of the animals.
