How  To  Make  A  Good  Profit

Because the land is only able to support so many animals, the other’s are forced to move to find food and shelter.  Huge profits are being made trapping these days.  The surplus animals have moved into every city, town, village in America.   The going rate for A.D.C.  (Animal Damage Control) work is a $40.00 set up fee and $40.00 an animal.  Animals like raccoons, opossums, skunks, ground hogs and more are all doing tremendous amounts of damage to homes, gardens, garages, barns, etc.  Muskrats, nutria and beaver are also doing millions of dollars in damages every year to ponds and streams.  They are flooding out roads, wells and contaminating city water systems.  How do you cash in on this gold mine ?

Most A.D.C. (Animal Damage Control) trappers started out trapping fur.  You can learn all the in’s and out's of trapping during the fur season.  Make your mistakes out there before people are depending on you to remove a problem animal.  This is your apprenticeship !   Learn to trap all the common fur bearers listed above, most states have a special A.D.C. license you have to get before you can do any ADC work.  Get the license and work this part-time and if you like the work, turn it into a full time job.  Some ADC trappers are making $40,000 plus a year.  What better job in the world then working for yourself at what you love to do.

People have ordered  3 - 4 of my videos/DVDs.  They are now working part-time making good money trapping nuisance animals.  When you order from me you are getting 30 years of experience in 8 different states.  You name the animal and I have trapped it (except Pine Marten, Wolverine, and Nutria).   All the common nuisance animals like possum, coon, beaver, muskrat, coyotes, skunks, ground hogs, bobcat, etc... are easy to trap and a high profit is waiting for you.

There are a ton of nuisance animal complaints every year.  The list keeps growing and the opportunity to cash in is just waiting for you.  Becoming a trapper is not hard when you have someone to take all the myths and nonsense out of it.  I give the straight hard facts.  No Myths, just the facts on becoming successful.  I want you to be the best trapper out there.  I want people to call you when the going gets tough.  There is always a way to catch any animal, just follow the videos/DVDs.

Not only do I provide you with the equipment, tools, videos and book but, you can also e-mail me for advice on any problem that comes up.  Purchase some conibear traps.  The three most common sizes are the #110, #220, and the #330.  The #110 conibear is a single spring, 4 ½" X 4 ½", use for muskrat and mink. Plus, the #110 is a great damage control trap for squirrels.  The next size is the #220 conibear it is, 7" X 7", double spring, use this trap for raccoons, opossum, and ground hogs. The #330 conibear is a 10" X 10" double spring, use this trap for beaver and otter.

If you are going after coyotes I recommend you buy Bridger #2 and #3 coil spring, off-set jaws.  Or, purchase MB-650, offset jaws, laminated.  These traps are ready to go from the box, with very little preparing.  The nice thing about the Bridger trap is that they are made with the chain attached to the bottom frame, with 2 swivels, right from the factory.  All you need to do is laminate the jaws and add a shock absorber spring.  If you are staking solid then get the dual stakes swivels, this is designed to use with 2 rebar stakes.  Pound them in at a 45 degree angle.  This is to stop the coyote from pumping the stake out.

Purchase a few cage traps and practice trapping raccoons out of farmers barns.  Farmers really appreciate someone removing these un-welcomed pests.  A raccoon in a barn will get into feed sacks, tear up insulation and generally make a mess out of the place.

Heck, some folks are charging right away.  Lower your price and explain that you are new to trapping.  Set a price and agree that if you don’t catch any animals it is free.  You may not always get paid but, you are learning and when you are successful your reputation will soar.  Sometimes, you may not understand why I do something in my videos or tell you to do something in a certain way.  If I stated something, there is a reason, so please listen, every time you miss an animal, because of a mistake, that animal is 10 times harder to catch next time.  You just educated that animal, teaching it what to avoid.  I have made all the mistakes and lost big bucks because of it.  So, please take the advice,  you don’t want to learn the hard way.  Don’t waste time, do it right the first time.

Are you ready to start ?  Your first step is to order my book, "Buckshot’s Modern Trappers Guide".   Then I highly recommend you order my first video,  "Beginning Trapping".   With just these two items you will have a very solid foundation to start your trapping business.  Refer to this article and you can receive both the book and video #1, postpaid to you for only $29.95.
